Visiting Israel

25.04.2022. Līga Avena and Dzintra Atstāja had meeting with Ambassador, Maj.Gen. Matan Vilnai (the President on the China International University in Israel), Prof.Gadi Ravid (V.P.Academic Affairs on the China International University in Israel) and Netanel Vaknin (V.P.Operations & GM on the China International University in Israel) for to discuss possible partnership in joint application for Horizon 2020 call “HORIZON-CL3-2022-DRS-01-01: Enhanced citizen preparedness in the event of a disaster or crisis-related emergency”. Planned activities within Project “Quadruple Helix Concept (QHC) as base of the next generation PPP model” (lzp-2020/1-0062) includes development of multifunctional, innovative, interdisciplinary training center for physical and psycho-emotional training in non-standard / emergency conditions for staff ensuring homeland security and civil defense, students of mentioned fields, etc., as well as public education for emergency response. During meeting the parties came to conclusions not only that there are lot of options for collaboration between Latvia and Israel, including significant experience exchange, but as well perspective cooperation between the China International University in Israel and the Riga Stradins University in education field.

26.04.2022. Līga Avena and Dzintra Atstāja had meeting with prof.Nomi Dickman  (Head of Unit, Evaluation and Advancement of Education BarIlan university, Israel) for to discuss and get insight of new educational methods already practiced in Israel what could be adaptable in the new study program that are planned to be developed within piloting of the Project  “Quadruple Helix Concept (QHC) as base of the next generation PPP model” (lzp-2020/1-0062) results. The idea of the pilot project includes development of multifunctional, innovative, interdisciplinary training center for physical and psycho-emotional training in non-standard / emergency conditions for staff ensuring homeland security and civil defense, students of mentioned fields, etc., as well as public education for emergency response.

27.04.2022. Līga Avena and Dzintra Atstāja had meeting with Dr. Baha Zoabi ( rector of Al-Qasemi Academic College, Israel) and Avi Shalev Elkasami  for to discuss possible partnership in joint application for Horizon 2020 call “HORIZON-CL3-2022-DRS-01-01: Enhanced citizen preparedness in the event of a disaster or crisis-related emergency”. Planned activities within Project “Quadruple Helix Concept (QHC) as base of the next generation PPP model” (lzp-2020/1-0062) includes development of multifunctional, innovative, interdisciplinary training center for physical and psycho-emotional training in non-standard / emergency conditions for staff ensuring homeland security and civil defense, students of mentioned fields, etc., as well as public education for emergency response. As well discussed actualities in civil defense and homeland security in Israel that could be adaptable within pilot project realization. The parties also agreed for next meeting to visit the Israeli center for well being and strength “Ramlle home front command”.
